U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) cadets C2C Jake Hannas and C3C Ben Martin welcome C4C Anna Torres to the Academy's ranks during Acceptance Day ceremonies on August 6, 2021. On this day, Hannas and Martin honored Torres through pinning well-earned C4C boards on her shoulders. All three cadets are Maryland Wing, Civil Air Patrol Hartford Composite Squadron cadet alumni.

Honored to have them represent Harford Composite Squadron, Maryland Wing, and the State of Maryland while at the Academy.

Cadets Taking the Controls!

June 2021 Orientation Flight.

The cadet orientation flight program shares with cadets the thrill of flying. Civil Air Patrol cadets' under age 18 are eligible for five flights in a powered aircraft (usually a single-engine Cessna), five flights in a glider aircraft, and an unlimited number of backseat flights when conditions allow. Orientation flying is always free to cadets.

Harford Does CyberPatriot

Civil Air Patrol has been patrolling our nation's coastal borders since CAP's inception.

Today, the coastlines are borderless with the onset of cyber vulnerability and attacks. CAP is participating in a timely technological initiative, CyberPatriot, the National Youth Cyber Education Program, sponsored by the Air Force Association, to educate the next generation of patriotic cyber defenders of our nation's security and infrastructure.

This highly competitive and technological event is training a new generation to ensure America is prepared to defend its national security from the air, land, sea, space and cyberspace.
